$2 Million Grant Boosts Sartell’s Economic Development Plans

ST. PAUL (WJON News) — Sartell has received a $2 million grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) to support street and utility construction for Niron Magnetics. This funding will help advance an infrastructure project aimed at boosting the city’s economic development.

Niron Magnetics plans to break ground this year on a $38 million, 190,000-square-foot facility, which will create 175 full-time jobs. The company also intends to invest an additional $62 million in future expansion, generating 425 more full-time jobs. The total cost of the project is $4,394,000.

In addition to Sartell, DEED awarded $2 million to Willmar for street and utility construction to expand the city’s industrial and rail parks. North Branch received over $1 million for street and utility construction in its multi-phased interstate Business Park.
