Media personality Amr Adib highlighted that Egypt is still navigating a prolonged economic journey, stressing that the population must not be left to face hardships alone. During his show “Al Hekaya” broadcast on MBC Egypt, he urged the government to intensify its efforts in mitigating price increases, noting that while citizens have shown remarkable patience and endurance, they also require tangible support. “People are resilient, yes, but the government—under Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly—must do everything within its capacity to ease the burden of rising costs,” he said.
Adib observed that free-market mechanisms now dominate the economy, commenting, “I heard someone call for market monitoring—such ideas don’t exist in Egypt today. The market is in control.”
He appealed to authorities to stand beside the public through clear social support packages, stating, “Please, provide visible assistance so people can continue living their lives.”
He also called for recognizing public sacrifice, saying, “Yes, the people are enduring, but if your nation is as sweet as honey, don’t consume it all. As the Egyptian saying goes, your people are noble, great, and patient—reward them accordingly.”

قال الإعلامي عمرو أديب، إن مصر لا تزال أمام «مشوار اقتصادي طويل»، مشددا أنه «لا يجب أبدًا ترك الناس وحدهم في هذا المشوار ». n nوطالب خلال برنامج «الحكاية» المذاع عبر «MBC مصر» الحكومة ببذل قصارى جهدها للتخفيف من ارتفاع الأسعار، قائلا: «الناس صبورة وحمولة، نعم، لكن الناس كمان لازم تساعد الناس، يعني حكومة الدكتور مدبولي يجب أن تقوم بكل ما تستطيع فمله لكي تخفف من وطأة الغلاء». n nورأى أن آليات السوق الحر باتت تسيطر على المشهد، قائلا: «لقيت حد يدعو لمراقبة الأسواق، مفيش الكلام ده في مصر، السوق حاكم». n nووجه نداءً للحكومة: «أرجوكم لو سمحتم، اقفوا جنب الناس بباقات اجتماعية واضحة، علشان الناس تقدر تكمل حياتها». n nودعا إلى مكافأة الشعب على تحمله، قائلا: «أيوه، الناس مستحملة، لكن إن كان شعبك عسل، ما تلحسوش كله، واضحة بالمثل المصري، شعبك جميل وعظيم ومتحمل، كافئه بقى»، حسب تعبيره.
