The Kingdom of Bahrain is participating as the Guest of Honor at the 28th edition of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025, held from June 18 to 20. The forum facilitates global dialogue among nations, businesses, and experts, promoting economic collaboration and positioning Bahrain as an attractive destination for global investments. This year’s theme, “Shared Values – The Foundation of Growth in a Multipolar World,” addresses topics such as digital transformation, climate change, and global economic challenges. A special session will focus on the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Bahrain and Russia, exploring future economic, investment, cultural, and trade cooperation. Over the past three decades, the strategic partnership between the two countries has grown significantly, supported by official visits like King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s trip to Russia last year, which resulted in seven agreements and memorandums of understanding. The 2024 edition of the forum saw the participation of 21,000 people from 140 countries and the signing of 1,073 agreements worth over 6.4 trillion Russian rubles.
