Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Engineer Hassan Al-Khatib, held talks with Bulgarian counterpart Peter Dellov, Minister of Economy and Industry, alongside an accompanying delegation and Bulgarian Ambassador to Cairo Dian Katratzhev. The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral economic relations, trade, and joint investment opportunities between the two nations.
Al-Khatib emphasized Egypt’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign capital by improving its legislative environment and streamlining investment procedures. He noted that the country’s economic reform program is designed to offer competitive incentives, facilitate cross-border commerce, strengthen governance, and modernize legal frameworks to better support investors.
A key highlight discussed was the introduction of the Golden License, a significant advancement in Egypt’s business climate. So far, 49 companies operating across diverse sectors—including chemicals, engineering, pharmaceuticals, tourism, logistics, and electricity—have received this license, which grants them expedited approvals and regulatory benefits.
The minister also expressed Egypt’s interest in deepening collaboration with Bulgaria in areas such as artificial intelligence, clean energy, electric vehicles, and information technology.
In response, Minister Dellov affirmed Bulgaria’s commitment to expanding economic cooperation with Egypt. He praised the longstanding and resilient ties between the two countries and pointed to shared economic perspectives, particularly regarding competitiveness enhancement, digital transformation, and improving access to financing and markets for small and medium-sized enterprises.

وأوضح الوزير أن إصدار الرخصة الذهبية يُعد من أبرز التطورات في مناخ الأعمال، حيث تم منحها لـ49 شركة تعمل في قطاعات متنوعة تشمل الكيماويات والهندسة والأدوية والسياحة واللوجستيات والكهرباء.
كما أشار إلى اهتمام مصر بتعميق التعاون مع بلغاريا في مجالات السيارات، والذكاء الاصطناعي، والطاقة النظيفة، إلى جانب السيارات الكهربائية وتكنولوجيا المعلومات.
من جانبه، أكد الوزير البلغاري بيتر ديلوف حرص بلاده على تعزيز العلاقات الاقتصادية مع مصر، مشيدًا بمتانة الروابط التاريخية بين البلدين، ومشيرًا إلى تقارب الرؤى الاقتصادية، خاصة في ما يتعلق بدعم التنافسية، والتحول الرقمي، وتمكين المشروعات الصغيرة والمتوسطة من النفاذ إلى التمويل والأسواق.
