Economic cooperation between Egypt and Morocco is entering a new phase aimed at expanding trade exchanges and launching joint investment ventures that leverage the complementary strengths of both nations. Nizar Abu Ismail, head of the Egyptian-Moroccan Business Council, highlighted that the alignment of economic capabilities between the two countries creates a strong foundation for launching strategic initiatives in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, energy, food industries, and services. He noted that the council is organizing a series of business meetings to connect entrepreneurs from both sides and foster direct collaboration.
This comes following a recent meeting in Morocco between the council’s delegation and Ahmed Afilal, President of the General Confederation of Enterprises and Professions in Morocco, attended by Moustapha Ali El Wazir, Egypt’s chargé d’affaires for economic and commercial affairs in Morocco, along with senior Moroccan officials including Khellil Benabdellah, head of the national council, Mohamed Dhibi, the confederation’s secretary general, and Saeed Shqashqa, vice president.
Abu Ismail emphasized that this meeting is part of a broader series of intensive discussions held by the Egyptian-Moroccan Business Council during its visit, including talks with the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services. These discussions have focused on identifying new avenues for collaboration between economic actors in both countries, particularly in joint production, investment, and knowledge exchange. Key topics included boosting bilateral trade, increasing mutual investments, and exploring high-potential sectors for future growth.

يشهد التعاون الاقتصادى بين مصر والمغرب مرحلة جديدة لتوسيع المبادلات التجارية وإطلاق مشروعات استثمارية مشتركة تستفيد من تكامل القدرات بين البلدين. n nوأكد نزار أبو إسماعيل، رئيس مجلس الأعمال المصرى ــ المغربى، أن تكامل مؤهلات الاقتصادين المغربى والمصرى يمهد لإطلاق مشاريع استراتيجية فى قطاعات الصناعة والخدمات واللوجستيات والطاقة والصناعات الغذائية، وأشار إلى أن مجلس الأعمال يحضر لبرنامج لقاءات يجمع رجال الأعمال من البلدين لتوفير المزيد من فرص التعاون المباشر بين البلدين. n nجاء ذلك خلال اللقاء الذى جمع وفد المجلس فى المغرب مع أحمد افيلال، رئيس الاتحاد العام للمقاولات والمهن بالمغرب، بحضور معتز على الوزير المفوض للشئون الاقتصادية والتجارية بسفارة مصر بالمغرب، وخليل بن عبدالله رئيس المجلس الوطنى للاتحاد، ومحمد ذهبى الكاتب العام للاتحاد، وسهيل شقشاق نائب رئيس الاتحاد العام. n nوأشار نزار إلى أن اللقاء يأتى ضمن سلسلة الاجتماعات المكثفة التى يعقدها وفد مجلس الأعمال المصرى المغربى بالمغرب، والتى تشمل اجتماعات مع غرفة التجارة والصناعة والخدمات لجهة الرباط ــ سلا ــ القنيطرة، بهدف بحث آفاق جديدة للتعاون بين الفاعلين الاقتصاديين فى البلدين، خصوصا فى مجالات الاستثمار والإنتاج المشترك وتبادل الخبرات، وأوضح أن المناقشات تناولت تعزيز التبادلات التجارية، وتوسيع الاستثمارات المشتركة، واستكشاف القطاعات الواعدة.
