Egyptian Minister Discusses Global Economic Developments with World Economic Forum President

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development and International Cooperation, met with Borge Brende, President of the World Economic Forum (WEF), during the annual meetings in China. The discussions focused on the impact of global and regional developments on the economic landscape. Dr. Al-Mashat highlighted the ongoing partnership between Egypt and the WEF, which continues to strengthen to support economic transformation. She emphasized the importance of collaboration to address interconnected global challenges and promote sustainable development.

Dr. Al-Mashat also outlined key government initiatives for the next three years, focusing on macroeconomic stability, foreign direct investment, industrial development, and human capital investment. She presented a report to the WEF President showcasing Egypt’s developmental financing efforts, which have facilitated over $15.6 billion in funding since 2020.
