The summit was officially inaugurated by Angolan President João Lourenço, with participation from several heads of state, government officials, and over 2,000 investors, bankers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from various sectors.

This year’s summit, themed “Pathways to Prosperity: A Shared Vision for US-Africa Partnership,” aims to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the United States and African countries, support sustainable development, and promote regional economic integration. It highlights investment opportunities in African nations, encouraging trade, investment, and sustainable economic growth, with a focus on sectors like energy, mining, infrastructure, agriculture, information technology, communications, and finance.

During a statement on the sidelines of the summit, Engineer Mohamed Shemi emphasized that Egypt’s participation reflects the country’s commitment to strengthening its presence in international economic forums and building economic partnerships, particularly with the US and African nations. He noted that these summits are vital platforms for fostering constructive dialogue and establishing a vision for balanced development and shared prosperity.

The summit runs until June 25 and includes roundtable discussions, dialogues, bilateral meetings, investment forums, and exhibitions. It is one of the most important annual business platforms in Africa, organized alternately between an African country and the United States by the Corporate Council on Africa.
