Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister, emphasized that the country’s strong economic performance stems from tangible productivity rather than speculative transactions or short-term financial inflows. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday evening, he highlighted a 5.3% growth rate in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, a figure supported by international institutions recognizing improved economic indicators alongside currency stability and availability.
Madbouly stressed that this expansion is rooted in real output across core sectors, unaffected by seasonal fluctuations or temporary policy measures. He pointed out that recent growth reflects structural reforms and sustained efforts to strengthen foundational industries.
Additionally, he noted expectations of increased revenues from the Suez Canal in the coming period, reinforcing the momentum of genuine economic advancement. The Central Bank’s latest report confirmed a rise in foreign exchange reserves to USD 50.216 billion, an increase of USD 145 million from the previous month.
The Prime Minister also underscored close coordination with the Central Bank to implement measures aimed at reducing inflation, which could pave the way for future interest rate reductions and further stabilize the macroeconomic environment.

رئيس الوزراء: النمو الاقتصادي لا يرتبط بصفقات أو أموال ساخنة
قال الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي رئيس مجلس الوزراء، إن مصر تحقق نتائج جيدة جدًا في الأداء الاقتصادي.
وأضاف خلال مؤتمر صحفي، مساء الأربعاء، أن نسبة النمو خلال الربع الأول من العام المالي الحالي إلى 5.3%، موضحًا أن المؤسسات الاقتصادية تؤكد تحسن المؤشرات مع توفر العملة واستقرارها.
وأشار إلى أنه من المتوقع أن ترتفع إيرادات قناة السويس في الفترة المقبلة، ذاكرا أنّ النمو الذي يحدث في الاقتصاد المصري يقوم على إنتاجية حقيقية.
وشدد على أنّ ما يحدث من نمو غير مدفوع بأي إجراءات مؤقتة، وهو ما عملت عليه الدولة للعمل على نمو القطاعات الأساسية بغض النظر عن الأمور الموسمية.
ولفت إلى أنّ النمو الاقتصادي لا يرتبط بصفقات أو أموال ساخنة، لكن هناك نموًا حقيقيًّا في الاقتصاد.
وأشار إلى إعلان البنك المركزي عن زيادة جديدة في الاحتياطي من العملة الأجنبية حيث وصلت إلى 50.216 مليار دولار، بزيادة 145 مليون دولار عن الشهر الماضي.
ونوه بأن هناك تنسيقًا كاملًا مع البنك المركزي في كل الإجراءات التي يتم التحرك فيها عملًا على خفض التضخم بما يدفع نحو خفض أسعار الفائدة.
