General Motors (GM) is preparing to launch another affordable electric vehicle (EV) in addition to the next-gen Chevy Bolt. Production of the new Bolt is set to begin by year’s end, but GM has hinted at another budget-friendly EV on the horizon. This new model will be manufactured at GM’s Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas alongside the Bolt. Although details are scarce, GM’s president, Mark Reuss, mentioned a family of Bolt models, including a lower-priced version. The upcoming EV will utilize LFP batteries, allowing for reduced costs. GM aims to expand its lineup of affordable EVs to compete with Tesla in the US market. Expect more information as the launch approaches.
