Honda CR-V 2026: New TrailSport Hybrid and Enhanced Standard Features

The 2026 Honda CR-V introduces a refreshed lineup with a new TrailSport Hybrid model and additional standard technology. This marks the first time Honda combines rugged TrailSport design with its acclaimed two-motor hybrid-electric system.

Key updates include a larger 9-inch HD touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility, and a wireless phone charger—all standard features. Higher trims, such as the EX-L, TrailSport Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, and Sport Touring Hybrid, feature a 10.2-inch full-digital instrument display.

The top-tier Sport Touring Hybrid integrates Google-built technology, offering apps like Google Assistant and Google Maps for a personalized driving experience with a complimentary 3-year unlimited data plan.

Exterior enhancements include more aggressive 18-inch wheel designs and a new TrailSport-exclusive Ash Green Metallic paint. CR-V hybrid models boast a bolder look with polished stainless steel exhaust finishers and larger 19-inch wheels on the Sport Touring Hybrid trim.

Off-road performance is improved with enhanced traction management for all-wheel drive models at speeds below 9 mph. A new “Individual” drive mode allows customization of throttle response and steering assist.

The CR-V lineup now includes three turbocharged trims (LX, EX, EX-L) and four hybrid-powered trims (Sport Hybrid, TrailSport Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid, Sport Touring Hybrid). The hybrid models utilize Honda’s fourth-generation two-motor hybrid system, delivering 204 horsepower and 247 lb.-ft of torque.

Safety features remain a priority, with the Honda Sensing® suite and 10 standard airbags, including next-generation front airbags designed to reduce head rotation in collisions.

The CR-V continues to be manufactured in North America, with major components sourced domestically and globally. The 2026 Honda CR-V lineup is set to arrive at dealerships this spring.
