Kuwait Info. Min.: ’26-’30 Min. strategy built on progress of participatory approach

KUWAIT, June 30 (KUNA) — Kuwaiti Minister of Information, Culture and State Minister for Youth Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi stated that the Ministry’s new strategy for the years 2026-2030 is based on the progress achieved in previous years, emphasizing the importance of the participatory approach used by the ministry in its development. This was mentioned in a statement released by the Ministry of Information on Monday after a meeting between Minister Al-Mutairi, ministry leaders, and the strategy team, with the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Nasser Muhaisen. Minister Al-Mutairi noted that this strategy reflects the direction of the state’s leadership and serves as an execution of its development plan. During the meeting, an overview was presented regarding the methodology used in preparing the new strategy, which is set to be launched in the near future. The Minister explained that the visible achievements in the media sector over the past four years are a direct outcome of the implementation of the current strategy (2021-2026). He emphasized that the upcoming phase will shift from challenges to opportunities through a comprehensive vision and a clear practical approach. Al-Mutairi outlined that the methodology consists of four key stages: identifying future directions through detailed studies and research, setting measurable objectives and performance indicators, creating actionable strategic initiatives, and drafting operational plans and schedules to ensure effective execution. He highlighted that the next step will involve extensive discussions with ministry staff, as well as stakeholders from the private sector, civil society, and citizens. The Minister underlined the necessity of coordination and communication across all ministry departments to achieve integration and meet future objectives. He acknowledged the efforts of the strategy preparation team and their commitment to involving various departments and stakeholders in shaping the future of Kuwaiti media.
