KUWAIT, Aug 19 (KUNA) — The Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) has secured a top-tier position in the 2022–2024 Tokyo Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Flag State Performance List, marking a significant achievement for Kuwait’s maritime sector. According to the latest data, vessels flying the Kuwaiti flag underwent 30 inspections under Port State Control (PSC), with zero deficiencies recorded—an exceptional result that places the nation among the world’s highest-performing flag states.
This outstanding performance is largely credited to KOTC, which operates the majority of Kuwait’s commercial fleet and maintains rigorous standards in vessel maintenance, operational safety, and regulatory compliance.
