KUWAIT, July 3 (KUNA) — The Kuwait Winter Games Club (WGC) revealed that Kuwait has been granted full membership by the International Skating Union (ISU) in figure skating, under the official name “Kuwait Figure Skating Federation,” marking a significant milestone for the sport in the country.
WGC Chairman Fahad Al-Ajmi informed KUNA on Thursday that the decision was finalized during the ISU’s 2025 meeting currently being held in Switzerland.
He stated that this membership will enhance the development of the sport by providing Kuwaiti female skaters with increased opportunities to compete internationally and gain valuable experience. Al-Ajmi extended his congratulations to all members of the federation and club on this achievement.
He also expressed gratitude to the Kuwait Olympic Committee, led by Sheikh Fahad Nasser Al-Sabah, for its continued support of the five winter sports managed by the club.
