This figure has risen from 51% in March and is comparable to the worst ratings Joe Biden faced during his presidency. The survey reveals widespread dissatisfaction with the nation’s economy and skepticism regarding the White House’s new trade policies. About 60% of respondents believe that Trump’s policies have increased their cost of living, while only 12% feel these policies have reduced prices. Additionally, 69% of Americans consider an economic recession within the next year likely, with 32% deeming it very likely. Just 34% express enthusiasm or optimism about the economy, while 29% are pessimistic and 37% are fearful.
