Renowned Mexican television host and economist Pedro Sola has voiced his concerns over Mexico’s projected GDP growth for 2025. According to data shared by FinanzasMX and corroborated by the World Bank, Mexico is expected to have one of the lowest growth rates in Latin America, at just 0.2%. This figure places the country significantly behind regional peers like Argentina, which is projected to grow by 5.5%. Sola, known for his critical stance on government policies, described the situation as “more than worrying.” The World Bank attributes this stagnation to uncertainties surrounding trade policies, the upcoming T-MEC review, and a potential slowdown in the U.S. economy.
