The Kremlin announced on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting to discuss the country’s economic situation tomorrow, Wednesday. According to a statement by the Kremlin’s press office broadcasted by the TASS Russian news agency, “On June 18, the president will hold a meeting to discuss economic issues.” Notably, Putin will also participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, scheduled from June 18 to 21. He is expected to hold talks with the President of the New Development Bank, Dilma Rousseff, and meet with heads of global news agencies. Anton Kobyakov, an advisor to the Russian president and executive secretary of the committee responsible for organizing the forum, earlier stated that “20,000 representatives from 140 countries and regions have confirmed their participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.” Putin is also set to deliver a speech at the forum’s plenary session on June 20.
