A key component of this strategy is the localization of military industries, with a national target to domestically produce 50% of the country’s defense requirements.
He noted that Saudi business leaders are currently in the U.S. to finalize agreements and attract investment, underscoring the Kingdom’s serious commitment to building self-reliance in defense production. This initiative aligns with broader economic transformation goals under Vision 2030, aiming to reduce dependency on imports and foster domestic industrial capacity.
