Spanish Companies in Mexico Show Cautious Optimism for 2025

Spanish companies operating in Mexico are optimistic yet cautious about 2025, according to the II Barometer on the Climate and Investment Prospects presented by the Spain-Mexico Chamber of Commerce. While 54% anticipate business growth and 41% expect to expand their workforce, these figures reflect a more conservative outlook compared to previous years. A significant portion, 36%, plan to increase investments, with innovation being a key focus. The business climate remains favorable, scoring 3.1 out of 5, with quality of life and digitalization opportunities highlighted as positives. Despite global uncertainties, three-quarters of the firms see potential opportunities rather than threats. Mexico ranks third in attracting Spanish foreign direct investment, receiving €3.205 billion in 2024, a 69% increase from the previous year.
