UAE and France Discuss Strengthening Economic Partnership

Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE Minister of Economy, held a bilateral meeting with French officials, including Eric Lombard, France’s Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and Clara Chappaz, the French Minister for Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization. The discussions focused on enhancing economic partnerships between the UAE and France, expanding cooperation in economic and investment sectors, and creating new opportunities for businesses in both nations. This meeting took place during the UAE delegation’s visit to France for the ‘Viva Tech 2025’ exhibition, which highlights innovation and modern technology. Bin Touq emphasized the strong strategic relationship between the UAE and France, noting the significant presence of over 15,000 French companies in the UAE and the growth in tourism between the two countries. The discussions also explored ways to support business communities, exchange expertise in economic policies, and enhance cooperation in technology, AI, digital transformation, and cybersecurity.
