The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has decided to maintain access to websites linked to its research division. This decision reverses a prior plan to terminate a cloud web services contract that supported many of these pages.
Previously, Bloomberg News reported that the service contract for NOAA’s Office of Oceanic and Atmospheric Research, commonly referred to as NOAA Research, was scheduled to end, which would have jeopardized public access to most of the office’s websites. However, in an email statement issued on Friday, NOAA confirmed that the sites will remain accessible.
