Walmart Remodeling 25 Stores in Colorado to Enhance Customer Experience

Walmart has unveiled plans to remodel 25 stores in Colorado during 2024. These locations include stores in Arvada, Denver, Aurora, and Colorado Springs. As part of its national strategy, Walmart aims to refresh over 650 stores across the United States.

Jay Cordray, Walmart’s senior vice president and lead for West U.S. business operations, stated, “Our stores often serve as the heartbeat of the communities we operate in, and these remodels are a testament to our dedication to enhancing that role.”

The updates will include new signage and displays to highlight merchandise, departments offering new products, and an expansion of online pickup and delivery services. Additionally, pharmacy areas will be redesigned with wider aisles, a private screening room, and more private checkout zones.

In recent years, Walmart has invested over $310 million in upgrading stores across Colorado. Joni Sartain, Walmart’s vice president of realty execution, noted the positive impact these renovations have on local communities.

Walmart employs over 29,000 associates in Colorado and spent $2.7 billion with local suppliers in 2024, supporting more than 28,000 jobs. The company has also donated over 13 million pounds of food to food banks statewide.
